Dear Student Employees and Supervisors,
The Illinois Department of Children & Family Services has amended the
Illinois Abused and Neglected Child Reporting Act. This new law mandates that
all employees of a college or university have the responsibility to
report suspected cases of child abuse or neglect. As such, it is now
legally required that all College
employees (faculty, staff, administrators and
student employees) certify their understanding of the
mandated reporting requirements.
To increase your understanding of the mandated reporting requirements and
acknowledge your mandated reporter status, all student employees
must complete the online training listed
below and return the Certification and Acknowledgment of
Mandated Reporter Status form to Human Resources by October 15,
2014.

Click New User to register for a training account. You will need your student ID number located
on your ID card.
· The acknowledgment may be found on the Human Resources
website or at http://www.state.il.us/dcfs/docs/cants22.pdf.
