the PANIC button!!!!

Did you know that we have a panic button at the information services desk?  It's located right above the desensitizer and receipt printer.  You can see it in the picture below

The panic button should only be used if people at the desk feel like they are threatened and are not able to pick up a phone.  Don't worry, in all of my years working here, there has never been a reason to use it.  To use the panic button you have to squeeze both buttons at the same time, this will alert the police that they need to get here right away.  Please do not press the panic button unless you are physically threatened and you cannot pick up the phone!  It is for emergencies only.

So, take some time this week and acquaint yourself with the panic button.  For bonus points, take a selfie with the panic button and send it to me.  Best picture wins a piece of candy.  You are automatically disqualified if you activate the panic button while taking the picture and $150 will be deducted from your pay for the false alarm police charge.  Submissions are due Sunday, October 20th, 11:59pm.

Printing Receipts

Hello,

I hear people are having problems getting a receipt to print at the information services desk while discharging an ishare book.  Please remember to have your default printer set to the "generic/text only" printer if a receipt does not print.  The way to check this is to go to your start menu, devices and printers, then right click over "generic/text only" and set as default printer.

Reminder: Confidentiality forms and website checklists are due soon

Just a reminder: the confidentiality sheets and website checklists we passed out at the dinner are due on Friday.  A lot of you have not turned these in, they are a requirement.  Please get them done and turned in!

New Schedules Are Up!

New Schedules!

The new schedules are up! You can find them on your personal schedule page. Let me know if you have any conflicts as soon as possible. Note that they begin Monday, September 30.

Friday, September 27 through Sunday, September 29 you may have a new student assistant sitting with you during your shift. Please continue your regular work and allow them to watch the procedures at the desk.  Be nice to them!

YAY! School is starting!

I hope you have all had a fantastic summer! I am excited to see you all Monday!

Please remember to come in Monday, September 16th to get all checked it. This includes student assistants, ASCs, and SCs. You need to see me or Belinda.

Student Assistants: if you really want to be on top of things please fill out a new schedule form to turn in by Wednesday, September 18th at noon for us to be able to schedule past week 2!

Fall Term Schedules are up

The fall term schedules are up on the student assistant website.  You will see that there are two calendars up, the fall term schedule is on the bottom.  The top calendar is the spring term schedule.  Please remember that these schedules are only for September 16-29th and then we will give you a new schedule after those first two weeks after we hire new students.
